MahlerFest XII will feature the 105-member MahlerFest orchestra conducted by its founder, Robert Olson, performing orchestral songs (including the American première of Mahler's own orchestration of an early song), and the glorious Symphony No. 2. Soloists will be mezzo-soprano Lucille Beer and soprano Caroline Whisnant.
The concerts will be preceded by a lecture on the Second Symphony by our good MahlerFest friend, Gerald Fox, President, Gustav Mahler Society of New York (previously known as the New York Mahlerites).

v. Im tempo des Scherzos. ('Aufersteh'n, ja aufersteh'n wirst du').
