Colorado MahlerFest's orchestral concerts have been professionally recorded since 1995. We are proud to offer excellent digital CDs for purchase. Minimally edited, these are true "You are there" recordings! All sets, with the exception of Symphony No. 10 and Das Lied von der Erde from MahlerFest XI, are two-CD sets. The CDs have informative labels and jewel case inserts, brief program notes, and full texts of all the songs. We guarantee the quality of these CDs; if you receive any that have technical problems, please return the defective disc(s) for replacement.
Robert Olson, Founder and Artistic Director of Colorado MahlerFest, is a believer in Mahler's greatness and is faithful to the scores, with Mahler's countless markings and instructions. The MahlerFest orchestra is composed of musicians, professional and amateur, affiliated with approximately 100 orchestras throughout the United States and abroad, including New Zealand, England, Israel, Germany, Switzerland, Japan, Venezuela and China. They come to Boulder once a year, on a volunteer basis at their own expense, for a week of intense music making for the love of Mahler. Their fervor and dedication show in the results.
